With regards to RibbonQueen.com exclusive solid grosgrains and prints, the solid grosgrain ribbons meet the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 in regards to harmful substances including Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, Copper, Nickel, and Mercury among others. The ink on all prints has also been tested by CPSC-approved third-party labs and are found to be in compliance with the CPSIA with no detectable amounts of lead. What do these results mean?
RibbonQueen.com is commited to providing safe, unique ribbons for all crafting purposes. The above-mentioned test results are proof that our ribbon can be used in confidence for children's garments, toys, and accessories under the new CPSIA guidelines.
Our XRF and lab tests CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT be used for generating General Certificates of Conformity (GCC's) nor as proof of component testing, which is not allowed under the current CPSIA. THIRD PARTY TESTING OF FINISHED PRODUCTS MUST BE CONDUCTED, DESPITE THE INFORMATION PROVIDED HERE. Please consult your legal representative for further information regarding the production, marketing, and labeling of your children's products.
In the future, should the CPSC grant component testing, our test results will absolutely be distributed for finished product testing and compliance purposes.
With regards to lead testing on clips and other hardware, the results are pending. Any products found to be unusable under the CPSIA will be duly noted.
